Kurdistan Technical Institute (KTI) formally has decided to change the institute’s educational system to Bologna based on the standards and criteria of Bologna international system with reference to the meeting No (7) issued on 21st of July 2017 by board of trustee. They decided to implement the process in the academic year 2016-2017. For this purpose, a special committee has been formed by Institute’s decree No (324) on 19th of April 2016. The committee has been holding several meeting ever since and forwarding the minutes to the Institute’s council to
decide on its items. The special committee of the institute has visited the ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of KRG and Human Development University to familiarize with the process and discuss the steps into this process and the procedures needed. Several workshops have been held by Institute’s Bologna committee and foreign and local experts on entering to the process. In addition, coordination is made with University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) and the committee has visited Human Development University to benefit from the experiences of this university. However, the majority of teaching staff of our institute graduated from universities abroad especially from Britain, Europe, Malaysia, and Turkey which they used this system.
